تأسس قسم التقنيات البصرية سنة 1996

الرؤيا: –

يطمح قسم تقنيات البصريات لان تكون له مكانة علمية متفردة في الوسط العلمي والاكاديمي العملي
وبمخرجات متميزة نظريا وعمليا ولها دور تطبيقي فعال يتناغم ومتطلبات سوق العمل.

الرسالة: –

تأهيل خريج قسم تقنيات البصريات للعمل في مستشفيات العيون والمراكز الصحية قادر للعمل بشكل
متميز وبمستوى جودة تعليم عالية وبمهارات كفوءة في مجالات تصحيح البصر وتحديد درجة الرؤية
وتقويم الحول واقتراح نوع العدسات وتصنيع البدائل.

الاهداف:-

يهدف قسم تقنيات البصريات إلى إعداد وتهيئة كوادر متخصصة في مجال تقنيات البصريات لفحص
البصر ودرجة الرؤيا وتقويم الحول واقتراح نوع العدسات وتصنيع البدائل والعمل في ورش تركيب
العدسات للنظارات الطبية واستخدام الحاسوب الطبي في عمليات فحص البصر وتقويمه ووصف
النظارات الطبية والعدسات اللاصقة والبدائل العينية والبصرية المختلفة و تصليح النظارات والاهتمام
بالأجهزه الطبية البصرية والعناية بها وذللك من خلال استمرار التحديث والتطوير المستمر للمناهج
والخطط الدراسية وفي كافة المجالات العلمية والعملية مع تأمين الملاكات التدريسية في الجامعات
والمعاهد وبمايخدم المجتمع.

Vision, mission and objectives of the optical techniques department:
Vision:
The Department of Optical Technologies aspires to have a unique scientific position in the scientific, academic and practical community, with distinguished outputs theoretically and practically, and it has an effective applied role in harmony with the requirements of the labor market.
Message:
Rehabilitation of a graduate of the Department of Optometry Technologies to work in eye hospitals and health centers, capable of working in a distinguished manner, with a high quality level of education and with efficient skills in the fields of vision correction, determining the degree of vision, correcting strabismus, suggesting the type of lenses and manufacturing alternatives.
Objectives:
The Department of Optical Technologies aims to prepare and equip specialized cadres in the field of optics techniques to check eyesight, degree of vision, correct squint, suggest the type of lenses, manufacture alternatives, work in workshops for fitting lenses for medical glasses, use medical computers in vision examinations and corrections, prescribe medical glasses, contact lenses, various ophthalmic and optical alternatives, and repair Eyeglasses and attention to optical medical devices and care for them, through the continuous modernization and continuous development of curricula and study plans in all scientific and practical fields, while securing teaching staff in universities and institutes to serve the community.
The tasks and duties assigned to the graduates of the department
Examination of eyesight and determination of the degree of vision
Vision correction and squint correction
Working in a lens fitting workshop for medical glasses
The use of medical computers in eye examinations and correction
Description of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and various ophthalmic and optical
alternatives
Repairing glasses and taking care of optical medical devices and taking care of
